LINDEN – Ora Lyon, 93, of Rt. 8, Crawfordsville, a county native and retired farmer in the Linden area, died Sunday in Lane House Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. He was born Nov. 19, 1883, a son of William and Emma Simms Lyon. He was married to Carrie C. Conrad in 1903. Surviving are six sons, Raymond, Lawrence, William and Robert, all of Crawfordsville, Harold of Linden and Albert of Darlington; four daughters, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Pickett of Port Charlotte, Fla., Mrs. Verna Taylor of Lafayette and Mrs. Lawrence (Elva) Harwood and Mrs. Donald (Mabel) Mikel, both of Crawfordsville; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren: and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son and a daughter. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Helms Funeral Home here with the Rev. Joseph Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near New Richmond. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr

Crawfordsville – Ora Lyon, 93, a retired farmer died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday in Lane House where he was admitted one year ago. He had been in ill health one and one-half years. Mr. Lyon resided at Rt 8, Crawfordsville.  A native and life resident of Montgomery County, Mr. Lyon retired from farming in 1950.  In 1903 he married here to Carrie C.
